Lux Counseling Center

Affirming Therapy for the LGBTQIA+ and Non-Monogamous Communities

Polyamory & Non-monogamy

Trauma and PTSD

Depression/ Anxiety

Lux Counseling is an LGBTQIA+ affirming practice and provides services for clients experiencing isolation, confusion, gender dysphoria, and those who are seeking a therapist sensitive to the unique dynamics and challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ clients. This includes assisting with access to gender affirming care, LGBTQIA+ relationship concerns, and past religious or cultural trauma associated with your identity.

Our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals practicing non-monogamy, whether it be polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, or other forms of consensual, open relationships. Navigating non-monogamous dynamics requires thoughtful and sensitive support. We believe in the importance of fostering open communication, trust, and emotional well-being within the context of diverse relationship structures.

Trauma changes us. It changes the way we see the world, the way we interact with others, and our vision of ourselves. Trauma recovery is a difficult journey and it helps to have a licensed professional with you to find the path back to health and trust. If you have been held back by traumas, past or present, or symptoms of PTSD, know that what you live with is not the only option.

Life can get difficult, and sometimes a little help from a professional therapist can make things better. I care about your well-being and provide you all the tools you need in order to seize the day and learn how to tackle even the most traumatic circumstances. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 13 years in the field and I work primarily from a whole-person model, looking for the most complete picture of your strengths, current limitations, and the many diverse components that make us up as human beings.

My goal is to work collaboratively with individuals to identify the sources of their pain and empower them to resolve them. You're not alone & things can improve. And if you’re wondering if now is the right time, it probably is.

I specialize in trauma, grief and loss, and clients who are LGBTQIA+.

It is my belief that even the hardest and darkest times in our lives can provide the most profound transformations. It is easy to lose sight of who we really are and find ourselves lost in darkness. My job is to help you remember the best parts of yourself in an affirming and non-judgmental environment.
